I went quiet this summer.
I didn’t check out. Actually, it was exactly the opposite.
I checked in, with myself and with my business.
For months leading up to July, I’d been generating new content every single week – so much output, and still so many ideas I want to put out there, even now.
But I desperately needed some space and rest to truly integrate my own evolution into my everyday life and reflect on what that evolution meant for my business.
For years, my work has lived at the intersection of money, business strategy, systems, creativity, mindset, energy, and figuring out how to build something meaningful without letting it take over your whole life.
When you’re a Manifesting Generator in Human Design like I am, you tend to be multi-passionate, good at a lot of things, and interested in even more. But somewhere along the way, I realized I’d been compartmentalizing all those different areas and talking about them as if they were separate.
They aren’t.
Your energy affects your capacity, which determines what you’re able to execute. Your execution has a direct impact on your revenue, and that number controls the choices available to you. Your systems reduce how much you have to remember within your daily cognitive fuel limit, so your priorities have to be on point because they determine how you use your time. And your health, family, and season of life all come into the business with you.
There isn’t a perfectly drawn line between “business” and “life” or any of the things in between.
I realized that a long time ago, but this summer it became really clear that I want to talk about it more: the connection between your business and the rest of your life, and how to build them so they work together in a way that creates more ease, creativity, and flow whether you’re working or playing.
It’s About More Than Just Good Financial Practices
Earlier this year, I wrote an essay for Autism Spectrum News called “Financial Systems Are Accessibility Tools: Building a Business That Doesn’t Depend on Your Best Day.”
The article was rooted in one of the hardest periods of my life.
When my mom went into the hospital last October and died nine days later, I almost completely stepped away from my business for nearly two months.
I couldn’t focus on client work.
I couldn’t create content.
I could barely communicate with my own team.
I felt like I was drowning.
But, miraculously (or not!), the essential parts of my business kept moving without me.
My client bookkeeper, Rebecca, followed our process and delivered clients’ financial statements. Invoices went out, and the automatic payments connected to them came in right on schedule. So, my team and I got paid.
And I knew enough about our cash position because of consistent monthly accounting practices I’d established in my own business to know what could pause for a bit and what parts still needed attention.
For the first time in almost 15 years of Clone’s existence, I fully understood what it meant for a business to hold its owner.
That article was written specifically through the lens of accessibility, variable capacity, chronic illness, neurodivergence, grief, and the fact that none of us are going to operate at 100% every single day.
And the more I sat with my own written reflection of what happened, the more I realized I was talking about something more than financial systems.
I was talking about the architecture of the whole business.
What’s Holding Your Vision?
You have the vision for what you want to create, and you know your work is meaningful to the people you serve.
Like every other entrepreneur on the planet, you want your business to support you and help you thrive financially while also reflecting your purpose.
Ideally, it would also support the life you actually want to live while giving you the freedom to bring more of your ideas into the world.
But sometimes running the business itself feels like having 57 tabs open at once, and everything feels like the top priority.
Money. Clients. Marketing. Ideas. Systems. Family life. Your energy level. New content. The next best offer. Admin work.
And let’s not forget the eighth course you purchased two years ago and didn’t finish but swore you’d get back to last January.
All of these things feel important, and somehow you’re supposed to know what deserves your attention first.
You’re not tired of your big dream.
You’re exhausted by the chaos and, let’s face it, the overwhelm of trying to get your vision out into the world.
And that’s where I keep coming back to this idea of business architecture.
Think about building a house.
A strong foundation and solid walls aren’t there to trap you. They’re what make the house safe enough to live in.
And because it’s your house, you get to decide what it looks like.
You arrange the rooms around the way you actually live. You create places for work and rest and gathering and play.
You build something sturdy enough to withstand storms, but flexible enough to feel like home.
Your business can work the same way.
Designing a business architecture strong enough to hold you is the most effective way to create a sustainable business that supports you financially, fits the life you actually want to live, and helps you bring your vision into the world with clarity instead of overwhelm.
“Please Show Me How You Did It.”
People have asked me versions of the same question for years:
Please show me how you did it.
How did you build a business that could support you as a single mom?
How have you kept it going all these years?
How did you get to the point where you weren’t working all the damn time?
How do you make money decisions?
How do you create and maintain your business systems without feeling like a robot or burning out?
How do you make space for creativity and family and self care and the rest of your life?
The short answer is:
I’ve been figuring it out as I go this whole time!
And I’ve realized that this might be one of the clearest expressions of my “why.”
I don’t have some magical 12-step formula for entrepreneurship, and frankly, I don’t believe there is one. We all dream, decide and dedicate ourselves differently… based on our own energetic makeup and life experiences.
I’ve spent almost 15 years building, breaking, rebuilding, refining, learning, pivoting, managing money, creating processes, training support, screwing things up, trying again, and figuring out what actually makes a business sustainable.
The first decade taught me how exhausting it is to build a business that depends on me to hold every piece together.
My freedom-filled chapter began only when I finally started building something strong enough to hold me.
And now I want to help other women do the same thing much more quickly than I did.
Especially the unconventional women, the creatives, the misfits – I’m calling you in. Because I want to work with women who already know they’re here to shake things up.
If you’re one of the spicy chicas who keeps thinking something along the lines of:
I know I’m here to do things differently. I have meaningful work to bring into the world. I just don’t know how to make all the pieces work together.
Then you are exactly who I created The Manifesting Strategist Circle for.
And Then I Opened the Door Before the House Was Finished.
That’s very on brand, honestly. ;)
It didn’t used to be – I used to suffer from analysis paralysis and perfectionistic tendencies. Eventually, I got tired of letting perfectionism suck the fun out of everything.
Now I approach my business more like an experiment, with a lot more intentional play and a lot less attachment to the outcome.
I knew I wanted to open The Circle on 10/10/2+0+2+6.
10/10/10
That date felt like a portal I wanted to walk through and bring you with me.🌀
So even though the community section wasn’t built out on my website – actually, as I’m writing this, it still isn’t. 😅
10/10 was a date where I was in deep engagement with September accounting work for my existing monthly clients. Because that’s part of my business architecture.
The promises I’ve made to the people who trust me come first.
So I took messy action. I opened the door on 10/10 with the architectural design drawn up, knowing I would finish building the rooms after people could already see the structure taking shape.
And to me, that feels perfect! Because one of the things I want to teach inside The Circle is that you do not need to see the whole path before you take the next step.
You don’t have to build the whole house today.
You build one piece.
Then another.
Then another.
You change your mind or you pause output while you strengthen your foundation.
You plant a new seed, and while it’s germinating, you cultivate what’s already growing. And maybe, for this season, you let something else rest.
Meanwhile, you take another step forward on the next paver stone that appears.
So What Is The Manifesting Strategist Circle?
It’s a free community for unconventional women with big visions who want to build meaningful, sustainable businesses that support them financially, fit the lives they actually want to live, and help them bring their work into the world with more clarity and less overwhelm.
You already know a lot.
You’ve read the bestselling books, listened to the podcasts, taken the courses, filled journals with brilliant ideas, outlined your offer, bought the software, and maybe spent an entire afternoon researching the “right” way to do something you still haven’t actually done. (I see you.)
More information isn’t necessarily what moves you forward.
Sometimes what you need is a place to make sense of what you already know, see how the pieces connect, decide what deserves your attention now, and actually use it.
Inside The Circle, we’re going to look at your whole business more like a functional medicine practitioner might look at your whole body, instead of identifying a bunch of annoying symptoms and handing you 900 separate prescriptions. We'll talk about:
Money and financial visibility
Strategy, priorities, and execution
Systems and structure
Mindset, energy, capacity, and self-awareness
Conscious leadership
Safer containers and healthier boundaries
Manifestation paired with grounded action
And what it actually takes to build a business that supports the person running it
Most importantly, we’ll talk about how all of those things work together, because that’s the part I think business advice misses far too often.
This also isn’t another place for you to collect information or another course you’re immediately behind on.
You do not need to consume everything inside The Circle.
Content will be added over time, often in response to what the community is actually asking for. You can come in, find what’s useful for the season you’re in, and strengthen the parts of your business architecture that feel the most wobbly right now.
And The Circle is exactly what the name implies.
A community.
Because entrepreneurship can feel lonely as hell when you don’t have people around you who understand why you’re thinking about an offer at 10pm, wrestling with pricing, trying to figure out what deserves your attention first, or questioning whether you’ve completely lost your mind because you want to pivot again.
If you don’t have a team yet, the architectural design and build may fall squarely on your shoulders, but you don’t have to do it alone.
Community can become part of the architecture that holds you, too.
Relationships. Perspective. Accountability. Support. Proximity to people who get it.
The Circle is a place to ask questions, share what you’re working through, exchange ideas, celebrate what’s working, and get some perspective when you’ve been staring at the same problem for way too long.
You may find an accountability partner.
You might meet someone whose experience helps you see your own business differently.
You might even find the perfect person for a future collaboration.
The Circle gives you your people.
And throughout the year, we’ll come together on Zoom for seasonal community gatherings: opportunities to actually see each other face-to-face, connect, reflect, and explore whatever that season calls for through conversation, coaching, ritual, reflection, or something we create together.
The Circle is going to grow.
So am I.
So are you.
That’s kind of the point.
The Portal Is Open
At this point, you probably don’t need one more person telling you to work harder, learn more, or add another thing to your plate.
You need a business designed to hold more of what you’re creating without requiring you to hold every single piece yourself.
And if you’re one of the unconventional women I’ve been calling in throughout this whole post, the creatives, the misfits, the spicy chicas with meaningful work to bring into the world, then I want you to know there’s a place for you here.
The Manifesting Strategist Circle is for you if you can see your vision, feel the purpose behind it, and still find yourself wondering how the hell all the pieces are supposed to work together.
It’s for you if you want a business that supports you financially, fits the life you actually want to live, and gives you more room to create, experiment, rest, pivot, grow, and keep becoming who you’re becoming.
And it’s for you if you’re ready to stop figuring every little thing out by yourself.
The door is open, even while the rooms are still being finished.
The garden is growing. (So are we, together.)
Come on in.
